Client Overview

Founded in 1970 by the Caimano family, Mood was born as a brand of professional hair products with the aim of supporting salons by providing high-quality, 100% Italian-made products that are effective, safe and easy to use. Today it is present in about 50 countries. In 2016, the brand was completely relaunched to support the work of hairdresses even better. Innovation, fun, creativity, and the desire to express in an alternative way are the main ingredients that distinguish Mood. Mood products are, in fact, cruelty-free, dermatologically tested, and formulas are mostly vegan with certified ingredients of natural origin.
The Challenge

When MOOD Hair’s Australian representative approached us, they had no website—no digital storefront, no product showcase, and no way to communicate their brand story online with the Australian consumers. This lack of presence created a disconnect between the quality of their products and the perception of the brand. To make matters more complicated, they had spent significant time consulting with various web development agencies and receiving quotes that far exceeded their expectations and budget. Each proposal either failed to capture the essence of the brand or introduced unnecessary complexity and cost. What MOOD Hair needed was a website partner who could cut through the noise, understand their brand values, and deliver a solution that was not only visually compelling but also practical, scalable, and affordable.

Our Approach

We began by immersing ourselves in the MOOD Hair brand, understanding its tone, visual direction, and customer base. We mapped out the key objectives for the website: to create a professional and engaging digital presence, showcase the full range of products, provide digital resources like the color chart, and establish trust with both consumers and salon professionals. Rather than overwhelm the client with unnecessary features, we developed a clear, straightforward scope focused on creating a solid foundation for future growth. Our design approach was clean, colourful, and aligned with MOOD’s brand aesthetic. We built a custom website that highlighted their hero products, made digital downloads accessible, and created intuitive pathways for users to contact or explore the product range. We also implemented a scalable content management system (CMS), empowering the MOOD Hair team to manage product pages and future updates with ease. Crucially, our transparent pricing and collaborative workflow gave the client full visibility over the project from start to finish.
